German Tank Crewman - Tamiya 1/16

This is the next figure I've painted some time ago from the Tamiya World Figure Series in scale 1/16. It' s  a German Tank Crewman of WWII. The wooden base, the figure base, the plant and the shield with the description are made by my own.

Here you find a post about an other figure of the World Figure Series: German Infantryman

British 18th Hussar

This is the first of three figures that I have finished for a little vignette. It's a trooper of the British 18th Hussars. During the battle of Waterloo they belong together with the 10th Hussars and the 2nd KGL Hussars to the 5th British Brigade of General Major Sir H. Vivian.

The figure comes from the ESCI Set 230 British Light Dragoons. The scale is 1/72. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I's an german elite infantryman from Tamiya in scale 1/16. I think the figure is well known, so that I can save myself any further description.

Airfix DAK - NCO and Private

This was my first attempt to paint DAK uniforms. The figures comes from the Airfix Set A01711 WWII Afrika Korps. As it was only intended as a painting study, I have chosen not to remove the mould lines from the figures. Thes bases are again 5 cent coins. On the photos I see some areas I have to rework.

Three fairies and one painter

Who does not like to go unsuspectingly around the corner and suddenly to be laughed at by three pretty, nice girls?

So it was to me at least during the last shopping trip with my wife, as we turned off the main shopping street to a side street.
From out of the window of a small business these little fairies smiled at me and shouted "Paint us". This siren call, I could not resist, of course, I entered the store and bought the three fairies. Concerned as I was for the welfare of my three new companions, I let them have extra wrap in tissue paper and made sure that they also get enough air.
Throughout the other shopping trip and the way home my new acquisition was no longer out of my head. Yes, and now they are on my desk, I still smile at me expectantly, waiting to be painted.

Just in which colors should I paint them?

I have some ideas about it, but I can not decide how to do.
